Lakes Chic Street Fashion show hits the Bucks Mill Brewery runway on May 13

Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – The second annual Lakes Chic Street Fashion Show will be this Saturday at Bucks Mill Brewery in Detroit Lakes.

Eleven different regional boutique owners will each be presenting four ensembles to showcase their latest fashion designs.

Barb Zahaski (Za-has-key), one of the event organizers, said the show is a great way to highlight area businesses a have a little fun at the same time.

“It’s perfect timing because we’ve had such a long winter,” said Zahaski. “I think everybody is just so anxious to see what’s on trend for spring. The boutiques range from Red Willow is doing some children’s clothing. Glik’s is doing some men’s clothing. There’s lots of swim wear, leisure wear, denims, tops, and everyone is just going to showcase the best of the best.”

In addition to the latest fashion trends, she also said attendees will get a complementary brunch and “swag” bag.

“It’s a beautiful swag bag that is a really awesome market bag that is filled with gifts and coupons, not only from the boutiques, but other merchants in town that have chosen to sponsor us,” said Zahaski.

Models hit the runway this Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and tickets can be purchased through the Lakes Chic Street fashion show Facebook page.
