Perham’s Turtle Fest seeks competitive eaters for wings eating contest on June 16

Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – Registration is open for the 2023 wing eating competition, a part of Perham’s annual Turtle Fest.

The competition will take place on June 16 at noon at the Pizza Ranch in Perham.

Event organizers will register the first 15 competitors who sign up, but they will be expected to eat a pound-and-a-half of boneless buffalo wings quickly.

The winner of the contest will be the person who eats “everything” off their plate and there will be prizes for first, second and third place finishes with judges having the final say on the winners.

All contestants must be 18 years old or older and sign a waiver before competing.
