Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The El Zagal Shrine Circus, which was scheduled to return to the Kent Freeman Arena in Detroit Lakes earlier this month, will be in town tomorrow.
The April 4th shows were postponed due to the weather. The event is being sponsored locally by the Detroit Lakes Shrine Color Guard and will feature the giving away of a fleet of bicycles donated by more than 150 local businesses.
Last year’s circus averaged around 1,300 spectators over the three shows. Shows on Wednesday are at 10, 12:30, and 6:30. Students from area schools attend a matinee performance of the circus during the day.
Tickets are available at Central Market in Detroit Lakes. Tickets that were purchased for the April 4th show will be honored at the gate.
