Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Detroit Country Club has announced an update on this season’s opening of the state’s oldest public golf course.
The driving range at the Lakeview Course of the Detroit Country Club will open at 11:00 am on Monday, April 17th, and will be open from 11-6 Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week.
Hitting on the range will be off the turf mats, and the practice greens will remain closed until further notice.
Kalynn Dolby, the new assistant golf professional at the Detroit Country Club, told KDLM that an update on when golfers can be on the Lakeview and Pine To Palm courses is coming on Tuesday. Temps this week are expected to be in the mid to upper 40s, with the possibility of some snow flurries later in the week.
The Laker Golf team meet scheduled at DCC is this Thursday, April 20th with a JV meet at the Lakeview course. The DCC will also be hosting a 2-man 6-6-6 scramble on Sunday, April 30th.
