Charlotte, NC (KDLM) – It’s official. Adam Thielen is a Carolina Panther.
Adam and his family were in Charlotte on Tuesday to put pen to paper on his three-year, $25 million contract that will keep him in Carolina through the 2025 season.
Adam, Caitlin, and their children Asher, Hudson, and Cora toured the Panthers facilities and Bank of America Stadium. Adam and Asher got their first game of catch in at the new football home…a familiar sight for Vikings fans who have watch Adam play catch with his sons on gamedays at US Bank Stadium.

Thielen immediately becomes the most tenured receiver on the Panthers team. Carolina’s top wideouts returning from last season are Terrace Marshall Jr., Laviska Shenault Jr. and Shi Smith, who had a combined 77 catches in 2022.
Thielen was released by the Minnesota Vikings after 10 seasons, designated as a pre-June 1 cut so the team could avoid his salary cap hit for 2023. Thielen, who was slated to make $19.97 million in 2023, would have had a lesser role and would need to take a pay cut to return to his hometown team in 2023. The wideout told ESPN in February he hoped to retire as a Viking but that he also wanted “my opportunity to show that I can play at a high level.”
