(KDLM) – Governor Tim Walz is authorizing the Minnesota National Guard to help stranded drivers on the roadways in Clay County.
Fresh snow and strong winds created blizzard conditions in western and northwest Minnesota overnight and this morning. Interstate 94 and other highways were closed due to whiteout conditions.
Walz said in his emergency order, “the state stands ready to provide support so that everyone can weather this winter storm and return safely to their homes.”
MnDOT reported multiple stranded motorists between Fergus Falls and Moorhead.
