Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – A couple of changes have been made to Wednesday’s Polar Fest schedule in Detroit Lakes due to the extreme weather.
Wednesday’s events included the Polar Putt at the Washington Square Mall, which has been postponed until next Wednesday, February 25th. From 11:30 –1, you can win area gift cards by making putts of 3, 5, and 7 feet.
Wednesday’s Polar Palooza at Detroit Mountain has also been postponed, which gives you a couple of extra days to get your four-person team together for laser tubing races. Racing will now start at 6:30 on Monday, February 20th.
Polar Glow Night is still on Wednesday night from 4:30-6:30. Kids are invited to have fun outside the Pavillion in the DL City park for a night of projects, glowing items, hot cocoa, and hot cider.
Wednesday is also Day One of the Great Polar Hunt…a nine-day scavenger hunt in Detroit Lakes.
“There are nine days to get around and find all the clues, and it’s also a great opportunity to check out some of the businesses around town,” says DL Chamber president Carrie Johnston. “You can do it all in one day or spread it out over the full eight days. There is a lot of flexibility there.”
