Man Found Deceased In Fish House On Lake Bemidji

BEMIDJI, MN (KDLM) – A man was found deceased in his fish house on Lake Bemidji on Sunday morning.

According to the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, the Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a man had been found by family members and was unresponsive.

Law enforcement, Emergency Medical Services, and Fire units were dispatched to the southwest corner of Lake Bemidji around 1:45 pm on Sunday. Upon the arrival of first responders, the 44-year-old male was pronounced deceased.

The deceased was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. No foul play is suspected and no additional information is available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
