Annual Giving Hearts Day Kicks Off Today

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – Giving Hearts Day returns today

Giving Hearts Day is a 24-hour event for charities in North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. Each year, Giving Hearts Day provides a platform for charities to fund their missions through community donors.

Since 2008, Giving Hearts Day has raised more than $138 million dollars for charities across the state. 

Area charities and non-profits taking part in Giving Hearts Day this year include the Boys and Girls Club of Detroit Lakes, Detroit Mountain, Essentia Health St. Mary’s Foundation, Friends of Tamarac, Health Resources, Holy Rosary School, Humane Society of The Lakes, Lend A Hand Up, and Minnesota Flyers Gymnastics.
