FRAZEE, MN (KDLM) – Northern Lights Dance Academy of Frazee hosted a fundraising benefit for Frazee resident Stacy Moe on Sunday and raised $15,000 for the Moe family.

11 years after going into remission, Moe’s sarcoma has returned, and she has been at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester since mid-December

Moe is an award-winning photographer who has donated her time photographing Frazee sports teams and events.

“That is an incredible testament to our community – our people, our churches, our school, and our dance community all coming together for a dear family in their time of need,” NLDA instructor Ta Fett wrote on Facebook.

The dance performances were live-streamed on the Frazee High School YouTube page so Stacy and her husband, Bruce, were able to watch the show from Mayo.

“I was truly humbled when this community offered to put this together,” Moe said. “Dance has been such a huge part of our family for many years, and we’ve watched many of these dancers grow and excel in the sport. I am overwhelmed by the love and support of my family and friends, the Frazee and Vergas communities, the high school sports teams, Sacred Heart Parish, and my employer, Dynamic Homes.”

Dynamic Homes of Detroit Lakes has set up direct donations through Bremer Bank, or people can still donate directly to the Moe family’s GoFundMe.

The proceeds from Sunday’s benefit will go towards medical bills and travel costs.
