Detroit Lakes Dance Named Conference Runner-Up; Place Five On All-Conference Team

CROSBY, MN (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes Lakers Dance Team began a busy weekend with a Midstate Conference runner-up finish in Crosby on Friday night after posting season-high scores.

Laker Varsityt ook first place in jazz on Friday evening, winning the MidState Jazz Championship. Laker kick place third, narrowly missing a second-place finish.

Crosby-Ironton won the 2022-23 MidState Conference championship.

Five Laker dancers were named All-Conference: Amaya LeCleir, Brenna Skadsem, and Zoe Cariveau, while Lily Anderson and Madelyn Peeters were named All-Conference Honorable Mention.

The Lakers final regular-season meet begins at 8 am at St. Michael-Albertville High School on Saturday morning. The Section Meet is in Monticello on January 28th.
