DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – 6th grade in Keith Eckhoff’s class at Detroit Lakes Middle School were treated to a quick phone call with the play-by-play voice of the Minnesota Vikings Paul Allen on Tuesday morning.
Allen took a moment during his radio show in Minneapolis to speak with the kids via facetime and even share a story about Detroit Lakes native and Minnesota Vikings player, Adam Thielen, “I’ll never forget his first touchdown…he got in the endzone and I said, ‘Detroit Lakes go crazy’.”
Allen is in his 21st season as the Vikings’ radio play-by-play voice which can be heard locally on KDLM in Detroit Lakes.
