RUSH LAKE (KDLM) – The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office is warning lake goers of a mile long crack on Rush Lake.

The crack, which has created dangerous open water is on the north side of Rush Lake running from the west to the east approximately one mile long. Open water was marked off with cones and pylons on Friday, Dec. 30.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office reminds those venturing out on the ice to remember to use caution and common sense as ice is never 100% safe.
