
OAKLEE (KDLM) – Thursday night in Oaklee, the Detroit Lakes wrestling squad had a Tri-Angular, hosted by Thief River Falls, as the Lakers took in Fosston/Bagley in the first matchup.
The Lakers fell behind 18-0 and 30-3, before mounting a comeback, that had the Lakers finish strong with pins at 195, 220 and HWT, to pull out a 39-36 victory. At 195, Cade Jackson got his 100th career pin. Cade added a pin against Thief River Falls for his 101st.
In their second matchup of the night, the Lakers got a win by pinfall by Talent Baker at 106. In a back and forth contest, the Lakers had a 21-18 lead through 145. After Cade Jackson pinfall at 195, the Lakers lost by pinfall at 220, the Prowlers had an insurmountable 38-31 lead, heading into the HWT
Match, as Jeffrey Moen got a pin, as the Lakers lost to the Class AA 12th ranked Thief River Falls Prowlers 38-37.
