BECKER COUNTY (KDLM) – On October 20, 2022, following a day and a half jury trial, a Becker County jury returned a guilty verdict on Donald Crenshaw-Thomas for Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The case stems from a traffic stop on November 18, 2021, on Highway 10 where over 200 grams of methamphetamine was seized. Prior to the stop, there was already an ongoing narcotics investigation on Crenshaw-Thomas. Evidence revealed Crenshaw-Thomas along with two other people traveled to the Twin Cities to obtain the large amount of methamphetamine and return shortly after to Becker County with the drugs.

Local law enforcement involved in the case included Derrick Cardinal of the Mahnomen Sheriff’s Office, Paul Bunyan Task Force, and Headwaters Safe Trails Task Force, Cody Bouchie of the Becker County Sheriff’s Office, as well as other law enforcement officers from local agencies including the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and White Earth Police Department.

Crenshaw-Thomas is set for sentencing on November 28, 2022.
