Perham XC Sweeps HOL Conference Championships

HAWLEY, MN (KDLM/KPRW) – Perham Yellowjacket cross country’s dominance of the Heart O Lakes Conference continued on Thursday evening with a clean sweep of conference titles for both the boys and girls teams. The girls have now won 19 straight conference titles, and the boys have won 20 of the last 21 HOL meets.

The Yellowjacket girls recorded a perfect 15 in their meet, with Gracie Morris winning the meet with a time of 19:33.0, followed in succession by Quincy Anderson (second, 19:42.1), Mya Morris (third, 19:43.2), Ella Hendrickson (fourth, 19:52.1) and Leelou Novotny (fifth, 20:21.5). Caidyn Breid finished seventh (20:33.2), and Myriah Tharaldson finished ninth (20:56.8).

Bjorn Andreson was the medalist in the boys race, finishing with a tie of 16:24.1. Micah Thompson finished second wth a 16:49.9. Dylan Guck was fifth (17:02.8), Caden Doll was sixth (17:03.8), and Carter Flatau placed eighth (17:16.7). Perham won the meet with a score of 22.

Brayden Glorvigen placed 15th for Perham (17:55.0), and Blake Swenson took 19th place (18:12.4)

Perham cross country has one regular season meet left in Bemidji on Monday the 17th before getting ready for the 8A Section Championship Meet at Bagley on October 28th.
