Parents Reminded to Register Kids for School Transportation Ahead of School Year

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Detroit Lakes Public Schools is reminding parents to register their children for transportation ahead of the new school year.

Jason Kuehn the Districts Director of Finance and Operations says that preregistration helps the district determine not only how many students will need transportation to and from school, but also the bus routes and schedules, “Each year this is important, because at the beginning of the year families may have an address change or have changed schedules, so it’s important for families to complete this registration.”

Parents and guardians can register their children for transportation at the District website under the Parents tab. The District asks that parents complete the form even if their children will not be utilizing the school bus for transportation for the school year.
