FARGO (KFGO) – Two men were taken to the hospital after a truck-pickup collision on I-94 in south Fargo Friday afternoon where the pickup caught fire.
The crash was on eastbound I-94, west of University Drive.
The State Patrol says the semi-driver slowed as he approached road construction in Moorhead. The driver of the pickup, a 71-year-old Detroit Lakes man, was following behind the semi and did not slow down in time to avoid the collision. The pickup burst into flames. Both the pickup driver and his 53-year-old passenger, also of Detroit Lakes, suffered burns according to witnesses at the scene. They were transported in two ambulances. Their names and conditions have not been released.
People who came upon the scene pulled those injured from the burning wreckage and awaited first responders.
