Art in The Park Returns to Detroit Lakes, Sunday

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – This summer’s flurry of activities and events in Detroit Lakes continues this weekend with Art in the Park.

The annual event will be held this Sunday in the Detroit Lakes City Park next to the City Beach. Booths are set up under the shady trees in the park and residents and vacationers will have the opportunity to shop for unique handcrafted items from jewelry and pottery to furniture and fabric goods.

“We’ve been doing this for over 40 years,” said Carrie Johnston with the Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce. “We’re starting at 9 o’clock in the morning and have almost 100 vendors filling the park.”

This year’s event is free to attend and runs until 3 p.m. on Sunday.
