DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The city of Detroit Lakes has begun to send letters to property owners for the abatement of diseased trees.
Residents who have a tree that has been identified as diseased by the city can either remove the tree from their property or have the contractor hired by the city remove the tree at a cost to the property owner.
The total estimated cost for the removal of all trees is nearly $31,000. Property owners that wish to speak with the city on the proposed abatements are encouraged to attend the Detroit Lakes City Council meeting on Monday, August 8 at 5 p.m.
