Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – Detroit Lakes senior Ethan Carrier has become Minnesota Gopher football coach PJ Fleck’s latest commitment.
Carrier, a 6’1, 175 lb running back and defensive back for the Lakers, announced his commitment two weeks after receiving a preferred walk-on scholarship offer from coach Fleck and Gopher defensive coordinator Joe Rossi.
“We were on campus for a camp that day,” said Carrier. “Afterwards, one of the staff people with the Gophers brought me and my brother Mason to the player lounge. They didn’t really tell us what was going to happen. We watched some defensive film with coach Rossi, then we went into coach Fleck’s office to have that life-changing conversation.”
