WHITE EARTH (KDLM) – The White Earth Reservation held their general election, Tuesday.
Michael “Mike” LaRoque defeated Eugene “Umsy” Tibbetts, 876 to 821, for Secretary-Treasurer. Henry George Fox edged incumbent Raymond J. Auginaush Sr., 194 to 168, for District I Representative, and Eugene Sommers topped Tara Mason, 389 to 282, for District II Representative.
All three positions are four-year terms. The election results are expected to be officially certified Wednesday afternoon.
