Street Faire at the Lakes Returns for 22nd Year

DETROIT LAKES – The Street Faire at the Lakes returns to Detroit Lakes this weekend.

The Street Faire, usually held every year on the first weekend after Memorial Day was moved last year to August and cancelled altogether in 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Rachel Hofstrand, one of the event organizers says she’s excited for the event to return to its normal weekend, “It’s going to be great weather – it’s two days of arts and crafts booths, live music, food vendors, a beer garden and kids activities – it’s just great.”

More than 100 vendors will line Washington Avenue and adjacent streets in Detroit Lakes, Friday and Saturday. Hofstrand says there will be quite a few new craft vendors this year, but some familiar favorites will be back as well.

The Street Faire at the Lakes opens at 10 a.m. both Friday and Saturday. A full list of events and vendors is available on the Lakes Area Radio App.
