DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – A Click It or Ticket seat belt campaign began, Monday throughout the state of Minnesota.
More than 100 unbelted motorists died on Minnesota roads in 2021–that’s up from 2020.
“We will be partnering not only with the Minnesota State Patrol troopers but with over 300 Police enforcement agencies across the state for a sustained high visibility enforcement effort that’s going to focus on unrestrained drivers and passengers,” said Mike Hanson with the Office of Traffic Safety.
Fines if you’re caught driving unbelted can range from $120-$140.
