Laker Boys Golf Finishes Tied For Sixth In Wahpeton

(KDLM) – The Laker Boys golf team traveled to Wahpeton to play in the Wahpeton Invitational at Bois De Sioux Golf Course (par 71) on Friday morning competing against 11 North Dakota schools, finishing the competition tied for sixth place with a team score of 329.

Jack Syltie, Noah Meyer, and Logan Schons each shot 81s on Friday, with Carter Whitworth close behind them with an 82. Tyler Stensgarrd carded an 85, Lawson Justesen shot an 88, Ben Hines shot 89 and Cameron Cannon shot a 91.

Jake Grandstand of Grand Forks Red River won medalist honors with a 75. Grand Forks Red River had six golfers submit scores in the 70s and won the meet with a 307.

Laker Boys Golf host a meet next Tuesday at the Detroit Country Club at 1:00.
