PERHAM (KDLM) – The Perham Public Works Department is planning to flush hydrants.
Hydrant flushing will begin at 10 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 and is scheduled to be finished no later than Friday, May 6.
Jeremie Schossow, Public Works Director for the city of Perham says residents and business owners may notice particles or discolored water coming from faucets temporarily. If this occurs, you’re encouraged to run your water for a few minutes and it should clear up.
Annual water flushing is necessary to clean out deposits in the water mains that have built up.
