(KNSI) — A Brainerd man is under arrest after allegedly stealing a car in one county and crashing it twice in two others.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office says they were called about 3:00 a.m. Tuesday for burglary and damage to the Red’s Auto building in Pierz. A witness told police the 27-year-old suspect drove a car into the front of the building and then took off, heading south on Highway 25.
Deputies found the crashed car in Benton County, which they say was stolen out of Crow Wing County.
The suspect is awaiting charges. KNSI News doesn’t name suspects until they’re formally charged.
The case remains under investigation.
