MOORHEAD (KDLM) – Dan Bohmer, a retired Army Colonel has announced his run for the District 4 Senate seat.
Bohmer will run as a Republican against incumbent, Kent Eken who was first elected to the Senate in 2012.
Bohmer has served on the Moorhead City Council from 2006-2010 and has spent the past 16 years managing a nuclear pharmacy in Moorhead.
“We need a new voice at the Capitol to fight for the families and businesses in our district,” Bohmer said in a statement. “I am running to tackle rising crime, combat out-of-control inflation and make Minnesota’s business climate competitive with our neighbors in North Dakota.”
District 4 includes parts of Clay and Becker Counties including the city of Detroit Lakes.
