DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The National Weather Service continues to warn of a potent winter storm system that will cover much of the region this weekend.
The storm is likely to bring freezing rain or drizzle Saturday turning into snow in the afternoon. Heavy snow is possible with a band of 6 or more inches developing if specific conditions align otherwise expect at least 2 inches of snow.
Forecasters are encouraging Lakes Area residents and travelers to monitor the forecast and consider preparation for the risk of winter weather.
