DL’s Alex Bettcher Announces Commitment to UW-Eau Claire

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – Detroit Lakes senior Alex Bettcher has announced her commitment to the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire to play basketball for the Blugolds.

“I’d like to thank all of my friends and family for all of the support this year,” Bettcher wrote on Twitter. “I would also like to thank the community, teammates, and coaches that have been there throughout the years,”

Bettcher tore her ACL during a summer workout program in Duluth, which forced her to miss her senior year of high school basketball.

“Senior year looks a little different,” wrote Bettcher. “but I had an awesome team of medical professionals helping me every step of the way. Thank you so much to all (who) pushed me.”
