PERHAM (KDLM) – Students at Prairie Wind Middle School in Perham celebrated one of their own, Tuesday.
A walkthrough was held for sixth-grader, Peter Carrlson who finished in the top five of the Regional Spelling Bee on February 8. Students congratulated him with high fives, claps and chants of “Let’s go Peter”.
Carrlson will now compete in the Multi-Region State Spelling Bee on February 22 in Fergus Falls. Winners of that competition will move onto the Scripp’s National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.
