
CALLAWAY TOWNSHIP (KDLM) – A Becker County snowplow struck a man lying in the road, Wednesday.
The incident occurred just after 3:30 a.m. north of Richwood on County Highway 21. The road surface was snow and ice covered at the time, with strong winds blowing and occasional snow.
The driver of the snowplow administered first aid to the victim, who was unconscious, and has who has been identified as Matthew Larson, 39, of White Earth. Larson was transported to Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes. The extent of his injuries are unknown, though he had no obvious signs of trauma.
The incident remains under investigation.
