DETROIT LAKRES (KDLM) – Actor Josh Duhamel is encouraging Lakes Area residents and vacationers to support the Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes PolarFest Plunge.
Last year, due to COVID restrictions, Duhamel took the plunge “by proxy” helping to raise more than $21,000. This year’s plunge, taking place Saturday, February 26th, will return to a variety of individuals, groups, and organizations jumping.
Though Duhamel won’t be in attendance this year, he is encouraging others to participate, posting a video on social media getting into an ice bath.
The Boys and Girls Club hope to raise around $30,000 at this year’s event.
