SAUK RAPIDS, MN (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes Dance team is heading to compete for a Jazz state title after a third-place finish at the Section 4AA meet on Saturday afternoon.
The judges awarded the Lakers a ranking point total of 16 in the Jazz competition, finishing only behind Becker and section champion Sauk Rapids-Rice.
Section 4AA will be represented in the Kick competition by section champion Sauk Rapids-Rice, ROCORI, and Becker. The Laker Kick team finished in 10th place out of 15 teams.
The State Dance Meet will be at the Target Center on February 18 (Jazz) and 19 (Kick). Tickets are available at MSHSL.org.
