Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Lakes Area

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Another round of winter weather could make travel difficult over the next 24 hours.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for parts of the Lakes Area from 9 p.m, Monday through 3 p.m., Tuesday.

An area of snow will move into the area Monday evening and overnight with a potential for freezing rain or sleet. Overnight into Tuesday will bring strong west to northwest wind gusts of up to 60 mph which will cause significant impacts to travel due to blowing and drifting snow.
