DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – John Steffl has been elected board chair of Detroit Lakes School Board.
In a meeting, Monday the board unanimously elected Steffl, who most recently served as the vice chairman. Amy Erickson, who held the position for three years will now hold the vice chair role for 2022.
During the yearly organizational meeting the board also voted to keep their salaries at the same level as 2020, $200 per day for attending regular and special board meetings and work sessions. Board members also receive $60 per day for attending any committee meetings, workshops, seminars, conventions, and other events where they represent the school district.
