Turf Wars Racing Takes on Winter this Saturday

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Turf Wars Racing will hold their first ever winter event, Saturday.

Organizers are inviting snowmobilers and ATV riders to compete in winter drag racing in multiple classes including a women’s only class.

A similar event has been held in the summer, but this is the first time the event will be held on snow and ice. “We’ve been wanting to do a winter event since day one, we just haven’t been organized enough to do one until now,” said Hunter Walz

The event is open to the public with registration beginning at 6:30 a.m. and racing starting at 10 a.m. at Sherbrooke Turf in Cormorant.
