DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The National Weather Service is warning Lakes Area residents that another round of winter weather will hit the area, Saturday.
Confidence is growing that a heavier band of snow will develop as it moves through the area, Saturday afternoon into the evening. This type of system with banded snowfall will create highly variable snowfall rates and totals in short distances.
A winter weather advisory has been issued from noon, Saturday to Midnight. 3 to 5 inches of snow is possible with some light freezing rain or sleet mixing in at the start of precipitation. Accumulating snow will continue into Saturday night before tapering off.
