PERHAM (KDLM) – A new documentary series premiering this weekend examines the divide between rural and urban living.
“Rural by Choice” hosted by Cory Hepola, a Perham native and WCCO radio host in the Twin Cities is a new 7-part docuseries that tells the story of why people choose to live in rural places.
“You don’t really realize until you move out that there was all this right in front of me while I was here,” said Hepola about his time growing up in the Lakes Area. “All these experiences [while shooting the documentary] created thoughtful dialogue – we’re not that different.”
The seven-part series premiers on September 12th on YouTube with a premier event at the Comet Theater in Perham on Saturday.
