Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM)-
The Detroit Lakes Youth Soccer Association (DLYSA) will be holding their annual fundraising banquet at the Historic Holmes Theatre Ballroom on Saturday, September 18th from 5:45-10:00 pm. The event features a wide array of silent auction items and games to support the local soccer club’s facilities and programs. Featured items in this year’s raffle are multiple guns, a bicycle, custom corn hole boards, a Yetti cooler, and tickets to a Minnesota United game.
“Detroit Lakes has the largest soccer program and soccer complete of any small town in Minnesota,” says soccer association President Justin Wegleitner. “The fall fundraising banquet is critical to the continued success of the program.”
Tickets are available by calling Henry Van Offelen (218-849-5270) or Kimberly Wegleitner (218-234-7842). Tickets are $100, which includes diner and drinks for two, catered by La Barista and Creamy Creations.
The mission of the DLYSA is to promote and foster a basic knowledge of soccer by creating a fun, fair, and safe environment. They emphasize a competitive spirit focusing on skill development, respect, self-confidence, leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork.
