OTTER TAIL COUNTY (KBRF) – A Conservation Officer was shot at in Otter Tail County, Friday.
Friday evening a Conservation Officer came upon a vehicle that had rolled over in a ditch near County Highway 37 and Bankers Drive.
While attempting to assist the lone occupant of the vehicle, he was found to be armed and fired in the direction of the Conservation Officer. The scene was held and negotiators worked to resolve the situation. The suspect, Derrick Sundeen fired several more indiscriminate rounds during a standoff that lasted more than an hour.
Sundeen was arrested and is being held on charges of attempted murder, 1st and 2nd Degree Assault, and DWI.
