One Killed, Four Seriously Injured in Crash near Naytahwaush

MAHNOMEN (KDLM) – A crash in Mahnomen County has left one dead and others seriously injured.

Around 8:30 p.m., Monday five juveniles were involved in a crash northeast of Naytahwaush.

A vehicle with 5 occupants was making a turn southbound on County Rd. 4 when it left the roadway and rolled in the ditch. One boy was pronounced dead on the scene, two others were airlifted to a hospital and an additional two were transported by ambulance to Mahnomen Health Center.

The four surviving occupants of the crash all have severe injuries, one of them is life threatening head injury.

The crash remains under investigation.
