Vikings Hire Ryan Pace

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Vikings are adding a former NFC North rival to their front office.

The team hired former Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Pace as a football adviser this week, bringing in a veteran executive to support new general manager Nolan Teasley.

Pace ran the Bears from 2015 to 2021, a stretch that included the 2018 season, when Chicago won the NFC North and Pace was named NFL Executive of the Year. He spent the past four seasons in the Atlanta Falcons’ personnel department before joining Minnesota. In his new role, Pace is expected to serve as a GM-level sounding board for Teasley rather than make personnel decisions.

The Vikings also brought in former Seattle Seahawks scout Azzaam Kapadia as assistant director of pro scouting. Kapadia worked alongside Teasley in Seattle before the Vikings hired Teasley as their GM earlier this month.
