A train derailed Monday evening near Ogema.
The White Earth Police Department says crews responded to the derailment near County Road 18. The roadway was initially closed to traffic and the public was asked to avoid the area while emergency personnel worked at the scene. The road has since reopened.
Early investigation indicates the train was carrying grain products, and officials say there were no hazardous materials involved in the rail cars that tipped over. Authorities also report there were no injuries and no known threat to public safety.
The cause of the derailment remains under investigation. Officials also thanked the responding agencies and crews that assisted throughout the incident.
