Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins saw their four-game winning streak come to an end Monday night, falling 3-1 to the Chicago White Sox at Rate Field.
Brooks Lee provided Minnesota’s lone run with a first-inning home run. The Twins’ offense was otherwise held in check by Chicago pitching.
Starter Zebby Matthews took the loss, his second of the season. He allowed three runs on five hits over six innings of work.
The setback drops the Twins to 26-28 on the season. They remain in third place in the American League Central.
Minnesota looks to start a new streak tonight when Joe Ryan takes the mound against the White Sox.
