Detroit Lakes , MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins won the rubber match of their series against the Houston Astros with a 4-1 victory at Target Field.
The game was tied at one before Ryan Kreidler hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. Victor Caratini also went deep for Minnesota, accounting for the Twins’ other run.
Joe Ryan earned his third win after striking out nine and allowing one run on four hits in six innings. Yoendrys Gómez followed with two scoreless frames out of the bullpen, striking out five, and Andrew Morris worked a perfect ninth for the save.
Astros starter Mike Burrows took the loss, giving up four earned runs on six hits over six innings.
