Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins salvaged the finale of their three-game series with the Milwaukee Brewers, holding on for a 5-4 win at Target Field on Sunday.

Ryan Jeffers broke a 3-3 tie with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning, and the Twins added an insurance run in the eighth that proved to be the difference. Milwaukee pushed across a run in the top of the ninth before Luis GarcĂa shut the door for the save.

Jeffers finished 2-for-4 with a homer, a walk, and two runs scored. Kody Clemens added two doubles and drove in two runs.

Bailey Ober picked up his fifth win of the season, allowing three runs on six hits over five innings. He gave up two home runs, to Garrett Mitchell and Christian Yelich.

The Twins move to 21-26 and remain in third place in the AL Central.

Minnesota opens a three-game set with the Houston Astros tonight at Target Field, with Kendry Rojas getting the start. First pitch is at 6:40 p.m.
