Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Vikings will play an international game for the third season in a row, and they’ll honor one of the greatest players in franchise history along the way.
The NFL announced Wednesday that the Vikings will face the San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City in Week 11. It will be Minnesota’s first game in Mexico. The Vikings played back-to-back international games last season in Dublin and London.
The team also announced that former running back Adrian Peterson will be inducted into the Vikings Ring of Honor this season. Peterson spent 10 seasons in Minnesota and remains the franchise’s all-time leader in rushing yards and touchdowns.
