Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Wild evened up their first-round playoff series against the Dallas Stars with a 3-2 overtime win in Game Four from Grand Casino Arena on Saturday.
Matt Boldy redirected a Jared Spurgeon shot past Stars goalie Jake Oettinger with 29 seconds left in the first overtime period for the game-winner. The goal came after Marcus Foligno tied the game at two with 5:20 remaining in regulation, knocking in his own rebound at the left post. Brock Faber also lit the lamp for Minnesota, scoring in the first period.
Wild rookie goaltender Jesper Wallstedt made 43 saves in the win.
The best-of-seven series is tied at two games apiece. Game Five is in Dallas on Tuesday night at 7:00.
