Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The North Dakota Fighting Hawks saw their season come to a close Thursday, falling 2-1 to Wisconsin in the Frozen Four in Las Vegas.
Wisconsin built a 2-0 lead with a pair of first-period goals and held on from there. North Dakota couldn’t break through until Ellis Rickwood found the back of the net with less than a minute remaining in regulation, but it wasn’t enough to complete a comeback.
The Fighting Hawks finished the season with a 29-10-1 record.
